Trust me, you’ll get a nice surprise if you book through them when you arrive. The most expensive part of the rental is the mandatory insurance (by the Costa Rican government) that third-party booking sites won’t tell you about. I love these guys because they offer hotel pick up and drop off, and they operate 24/7. These places involve lots of exploring that can be done without tours, so a rental car really helps. Not only do you have the freedom to explore hidden gems along the highways and in between destinations, but you’ll also save a lot of money.
